The other day, I was listening to the radio while repairing computers and heard about a recall for Sony Laptops because of an overheating problem. I recently bought a Sony Vaio myself and as it turned out, mine was on this recall list! From what I learned about the problem, it can be corrected with a BIOS update which can be easily downloaded and run from within Windows. I updated mine in less than 10 minutes. So far, I haven’t noticed my laptop running any cooler. While I always thought my laptop ran a bit warm, it never did get dangerously hot. But heat is always an issue with today’s faster computers.
